Premiere Logistics Forum

CEP Providers Could Be More Efficient If It Were Not for Complex Legal Restrictions

The industry is changing so quickly, while parcels are getting smaller and volumes are getting larger.

  • How can the exchange of data be used to improve delivery efficiency?
  • What are the future trends for parcel logistics?
  • What kind of legal issues does the industry face when sharing resources?

These were the main themes throughout the Premiere Logistics Forum hosted by VITRONIC at its headquarters in Wiesbaden, Germany on 18. September. The VITRONIC Sales Team welcomed guests from all over Europe and created a platform for networking and discussions. You will find a review of the event below in video and photo format. An extract of our panel discussion and more videos will follow shortly.

  • Logistics Forum Review

A day packed with presentations, demonstrations and networking. International logistics experts reported how they are dealing with the challenges the parcel logistics industry is facing. A panel discussion offered valuable insights into the future of intralogistics. Live demonstrations of the new VIPAC SMALLS SORT system showed how smart Auto-ID solutions accelerate sortation centers’ processes and lower costs. And last but not least the networking in between the sessions and during the BBQ.

Data Capture and Automated Sorting System

VIPAC SMALLS SORT is an intelligent and modular one-system solution that automatically combines shipment data capture (address information, weight and volume measurement) with small package sorting. This sorting system can be operated either as a stand-alone solution for use within small hubs and distribution centers, or integrated within larger hubs as part of a larger sorting process.
