VIRO WSI SYSTEM SOFTWARE – INTUITIVE AND USER-FRIENDLY

VITRONIC is setting standards with an intuitive, graphical guided user-interface and extensive analysis options. The inspection system enables an easy teach-in of inspection sequences and limits. Users can also select from a wide range of configuration functions. They can access pre-defined templates of standard seam types.
Inspection results are also presented in a very clear and structured format. VIRO WSI shows detailed information about the position and type of defect on a photo of the part.
All data is immediately accessible in real-time statistics. In parallel, it is stored in an integrated database where it is linked with component and seam ids for subsequent tracking, evaluation, and statistics.

Laser seams are characterized by a very fast weld speed and very narrow seams. Along with the well-established HDR sensor for inspecting MIG/MAG seams, VITRONIC has now added an HDR-HR sensor to the VIRO WSI weld seam inspection system, which also inspects fine laser and brazed seams at 6m/min inline and with an exceptionally high degree of accuracy.
The most common applications are large-scale bodywork production, tailored blanks, and battery production. The new sensor offers an extremely high resolution and is successfully used by renowned OEMs and suppliers. This automated inspection solution also boasts user-friendly, intuitive software.

INTERACTIVE VISUALIZATION TERMINALS FOR MANUAL REWORK

VIRO WSI offers optional visualization stations for manual rework. Inspection results for each of the component's seams are visually presented to workers in a structured way. In addition, the workers can enter completed reworking tasks in the system and document them with the inspection results.
Typically, multiple VIRO WSI systems are used in one line during the stages of production. In this scenario it is beneficial that inspection results of the joined part and its components are clearly represented at the visualization terminals.

AUTOMATED REWORK FOR END-TO-END-AUTOMATION

For end-to-end automation without interruption by manual processing, VITRONIC offers a newly developed optional classifier for the VIRO WSI system. The classifier categorizes detected irregularities and defects for reworking and then transfers the corresponding reworking parameters to the welding robot. The automated rework is carried out in the combined rework and inspection cell. Usually, the automated rework is then reinspected by VIRO WSI.
