VITRONIC is pleased to announce the opening of its new office in Berlin today. Last week, the occasion was marked with a grand opening event titled, “AI (artificial intelligence) and Digitization – Opportunities from a Medium Sized Technology Company’s Perspective”. VITRONIC's newest office can be found in Berlin’s legendary “Unter den Linden” (translated, ‘under the lime trees’) Boulevard.

Topics such as automation, Industry 4.0 and intelligent traffic monitoring are the focus of discussion for this particular location. “We want our office in the capital to act as a platform for new encounters and information sharing”, CEO Michael Leyendecker explained to the crowd at the event. “We want to have a dialog here on future issues with our many innovative partners that will help transform many areas of our lives, and will allow us to bring our expertise to the table.”

A number of speakers presented their views at the event with presentations and speeches. Andreas Rade from the Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (VDMA), Reinhard Karger from the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), Rainer Wendt from the German Police Union and Rainhard Koy-Oberthür from VITRONIC, all had a chance to shed light on AI discussing its current and future applications both within industry and society as a whole. The Berlin office launch was a successful kick-off event with further events scheduled.
