“Technology that helps you grow“ is one of the promises VITRONIC makes in its company profile on the corporate website. Since 1984, the specialist for machine vision systems has kept the promise and is constantly growing with its customers.
The latest milestone in its history is the expansion of the company’s North American headquarters in Louisville, KY, which expands the footprint by 50% and helps facilitate the continued strong business growth. Along with this, VITRONIC is hiring new employees across all departments and launching the new Customer Collaboration Center.
One year ago, when I joined the company, our facilities weren’t suitable for customer collaboration. We decided that we needed a dedicated space for direct customer interaction and innovation,
In the new Customer Collaboration Center, solutions are showcased for customers to understand how they will perform in their operational environment. Examples include automatic identification solutions for package handling, weld seam and battery inspection in the automotive and EV sectors, traffic enforcement solutions, and 3D body scanning for performance diagnostics.
The official opening of the Customer Collaboration Center and facilities expansion will be celebrated on Thursday, October 13th, 2022, with an open house and a ribbon cutting ceremony. For this event, Group CEO Daniel Scholz-Stein from the global headquarters in Wiesbaden, Germany will join key customers, state and local government officials, the entire VITRONIC North American team and international guests in Louisville, KY.
The expansion has become necessary, not least because of new major customer projects in the logistics sector that require additional space and resources. “Logistics automation has been very important for us since the company was first established in Louisville, KY in 1999, working with the leading package handling companies in North America,” Kjell Lyngstad explains. The eCommerce boom since the beginning of the pandemic has allowed VITRONIC to significantly grow the business in this sector. They are also experiencing fast growth in other focus markets, including automotive, e-mobility, healthcare, and traffic enforcement. Also, VITRONIC is in the process of expanding the business in regional markets such as Mexico and South America.
“Having excellent alignment with our customers, utilizing local resources and a strong team,” Kjell Lyngstad lists the factors for VITRONIC’s success. “The expansion will contribute to build a stronger presence in the local markets.” The focus hereby is on intensifying customer relationships, participating in industry associations and offering what VITRONIC is known for: best in class solutions, service and support.
Moreover, the company plans to broaden community outreach, such as collaborations with high schools, universities, and charitable organizations.
Besides the visible success story, President / CEO Kjell Lyngstad is particularly proud of the team which made everything possible – and not only the US team. He highlights the great international collaboration within the VITRONIC group and with the global headquarters in Germany. The joint efforts pave the way for further growth for many years to come; not only for VITRONIC, but also for its customers.
