VITRONIC announces the appointment of its new CTO: Dr. Heiko Frohn hands over to Thomas Preußer

With the start of the new year, Thomas Preußer takes over as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the VITRONIC Group. He succeeds Dr. Heiko Frohn, who is retiring after 40 years with VITRONIC. The change in leadership is part of a long-term succession plan and represents a clear strategic development for the technology organization.

With Thomas Preußer as CTO, VITRONIC is consistently focusing on combining technological excellence and creativity for the next wave of innovation—particularly in the areas of artificial intelligence and data-driven systems. Technological development clearly follows the strategic orientation of user focus, long-lasting quality standards, and holistic end-to-end application, which will shape further development in the coming years. Dr. Heiko Frohn
Heiko Frohn joined VITRONIC shortly after its founding. As an engineer, he developed solutions for autonomous vehicle control, robot vision, and automatic visual inspection. For many years, he was responsible for VITRONIC's technological development as CTO and, together with his team, laid the foundation for the company's current product portfolio.

Thomas Preußer
Thomas Preußer joined VITRONIC as a development engineer and has held various positions of responsibility in different product and technology areas of the company over the years. He played a key role in the development of VITRONIC Poliscan technology, which has established itself as a powerful solution for global use. In his long-standing role as head of the Traffic Technology business unit, he was responsible for the development of complex technical systems for the global group of companies. His personal drive is to transform complex challenges into practical, effective solutions while empowering our teams to push the boundaries of the feasible.
