The turnkey solution integrates MetriXFreight AI software with camera technology for automated freight measurement. It captures pallet dimensions in less than a second, reduces manual errors and costly delays with automated precision and achieves fast ROI with low installation costs and maintenance-free design.

VITRONIC presents new solution for pallet measurement with AI-powered stackability analysis

Following successful project implementations in the North American market, VITRONIC introduces its pallet dimensioning solution VIPAC Pallets powered by MetrixFreight to the global market. In partnership with Metrilus, the company now offers integrated stackability verification alongside certified measurement capabilities. This evolution combines high-speed, legal-for-trade pallet dimensioning with AI-driven insights, enabling logistics providers to make surcharge decisions based on clear, documented evidence.

The system captures pallet dimensions in less than a second using advanced Time-of-Flight (ToF) camera technology, creating a precise 3D point cloud for accurate volume calculation. All data is transmitted in real time to the operator and the customer’s ERP system, ensuring seamless integration and transparent documentation. With certifications including NMFC, NTEP, MID, and OIML, the solution supports compliant invoicing and prevents costly disputes.

The integrated stackability check delivers immediate go/no-go answers, accompanied by explanatory AI notes and photo documentation. This functionality allows companies to validate surcharge decisions and optimize freight handling without manual intervention. By combining certified measurement with operational intelligence, VIPAC Pallets addresses key industry challenges such as revenue recovery, cost optimization, and process reliability.

Designed for rapid implementation, the system offers low installation costs, minimal hardware requirements, and a maintenance-free design with remote diagnostics and software updates. This ensures maximum uptime, fast ROI, and sustainable operation through reduced energy consumption.
