From March 07 to 09, 2023 this year’s World Police Summit in Dubai took place. The World Police Summit is a trade show of global relevance with police professionals from all over the world. This year visitors from all continents were welcomed - everyone makes sure to be there.

The 84sqm stand of VITRONIC Middle East, which is open on all sides, was particularly popular. Close to the Dubai Police stand VITRONIC welcomed customers, partners, and interesting new contacts in the open layout. Hereby, Road Safety and the future of Traffic Management were discussed intensely.

VITRONIC presented solutions that proof to reduce the number of road accidents by running independent from time, persons, and weather conditions. In addition, POLISCAN measuring systems detect significantly more speed violations than other measuring systems to improve road safety. A single measuring system monitors several lanes and up to two directions of travel simultaneously. They can also detect both approaching and receding traffic. Depending on the accident-hotspots, the presented system comes with different housings.

But it does not stop with Road Safety. For this reason, VITRONIC presented the current status of Smart City Applications. Existing enforcement systems can do more than just document violations through the data they collect. By using existing infrastructure, VITRONIC presented how data from the systems can be converted into knowledge. This can lead to a fact-based improvement of traffic flow, reduction of air pollution and satisfaction of the inhabitants.
