On April 11, 2024, VITRONIC celebrated the opening of its newest subsidiary in Queretaro, Mexico. The executive board of VITRONIC Mexico, comprising Markus Mauer, Kjell Lyngstad, and Luis Rodriguez, ceremoniously cut the ribbon and welcomed the guests.

Over 70 guests attended the celebration, including representatives from robotics firms such as Fanuc and Kuka, the Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Association for Advancing Automation, and journalists from Mexico City.

The introduction of the new Customer Collaboration and Development Competence Center provided insights into the technical capabilities of automation and traffic solutions. During the event, attendees were given a tour of the new facilities with product demonstrations. Additionally, another software development team is now available onsite, marking the first team outside of Germany, the company's headquarters.

This is just the beginning of what VITRONIC will achieve in Mexico. The market potential for our automation and traffic solutions is great, and we’ve assembled such a high quality team in Mexico the past 15 months who will continue to grow and achieve great things for VITRONIC.”

VITRONIC Mexico will focus on automation solutions, particularly in the automotive and logistics industries, as well as automated traffic monitoring.

Kjell Lyngstad, President and CEO of VITRONIC North America, sees the expansion of the Mexican team as a significant opportunity, especially for automated welding inspection solutions in automotive production.
