Challenges of Future Mobility - The Role of Road Infrastructure

For several years, European highway operators have begun the transition towards more environmentally friendly mobility. To successfully achieve a green transition, more investments in mobility are necessary, in alignment with the EU's political roadmap through the Green Deal and the "Fit for 55" strategy. To address these challenges, toll road infrastructure operators propose promoting green projects, including reshaping infrastructure for electric cars, buses, and trucks to contribute to the development of safe, inclusive, and environmentally friendly mobility solutions for all.

The 52nd ASECAP Study and Information Days will focus on how to promote safe and mobility solutions by fostering investments aimed at achieving the EU goals of Vision Zero regarding the number of fatalities and Vision Zero regarding CO2 emissions. A sustainable financing scheme will also be discussed to support these transformations and developments without burdening the public budget. There are solutions.

Vision Zero 2030: A Challenge That Needs Smart Solutions

Speeding remains one of the leading causes of traffic congestion and road fatalities across Europe. While increasing speed enforcement seems like an obvious solution, the real challenge lies in funding infrastructure, operational efficiency, and workforce availability.

A New Era of Speed Enforcement

What if there was a solution that could:

  • Increase speed enforcement hours by 80% – operating fully autonomously, 24/7
  • Reduce CO₂ emissions by 66% compared to mobile enforcement
  • Lower operational working hours for enforcement by 75%
  • Generate fines that can be reinvested into road safety projects

Discover the Enforcement Trailer

At this years ASECAP Days, we will bring closer the Enforcement Trailer – a type-approved, autonomous speed enforcement system already in use across multiple European countries. Using real violation data, we will demonstrate its impact on efficiency, sustainability, and road safety.

  • Be part of the discussion on the future of speed enforcement.

Visit our presentation on 27th of May at 2:30 pm for more information.

See you there!
