  • Networking and exchange with experts and decision-makers in a special atmosphere

With the Poliscan Forum, VITRONIC once again sent a strong signal for road safety this year. Under the motto “Let's talk about road safety together!”, around 95 invited guests from regulatory authorities, local authorities, and police forces gathered at the Kupferbergterrassen in Mainz to spend a day discussing current challenges and innovative solutions. The day before, some of the guests took the opportunity to visit VITRONIC's production facilities in Wiesbaden and Wallau.

Premiere of Two New Products

The presentation of two product innovations attracted particular interest: the latest generation of enforcement trailers and the new CDHx column were unveiled to industry professionals for the first time. Both solutions represent forward-looking concepts in traffic monitoring and were very well received.

Impulses From Science and Practice

In terms of content, the forum offered a balanced mix of experience, theory, and practice:

  • Peter Schlanstein (retired Chief Superintendent, University of Applied Sciences for Police and Public Administration NRW) highlighted the role of artificial intelligence and connected driving in road safety in his presentation.
  • Marco Schäler (Managing Director of the Transport Commission of the German Police Union) spoke about the problem of e-scooter tuning and backed up his presentation with personal experiences from everyday police work.
  • In addition, VITRONIC’s sales and product management team provided insights into the latest product developments. This included presentations on the software platform, current Poliscan innovations, and the new solution for automated cell phone and seat belt detection.
  • During the product show in the garden of the Kupferbergterrassen, guests were able to examine and experience VITRONIC solutions live.

Exchange on Equal Terms

At the end of the event, representatives from VITRONIC joined expert guests in a panel discussion on the opportunities and limitations of future urban traffic safety. Kirsten Lühmann, President of Deutsche Verkehrswacht (German Traffic Safety Association) and former member of the German Bundestag, led the program. In addition to providing expert insights, the forum offered numerous opportunities for networking in a special atmosphere.
