360-degree inspections of the crimping

The presentation of VITRONIC’s optical inspection system at the KT. MFG booth was met with great interest by Japanese medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers. The main point of focus was a 360-degree vision sensor developed by VITRONIC, which makes it possible to seamlessly inspect the crimping and cap on pharmaceutical vials. This ensures perfect product quality until use for the patient.

During INTERPHEX, numerous Japanese medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers obtained information about use cases for vial inspection. Lively discussions took place between the booth visitors and several packaging samples were provided for which VITRONIC will create inspection feasibility studies. “We were delighted to receive such a positive response”, summarizes Maurer. “We want to further expand our presence in Japan in close cooperation with our partner Unitechnology.”

A VITRONIC demo system for inspecting crimping quality has been installed in a KT. MTG showroom near Tokyo since April this year.
