Intertraffic, held in Amsterdam, stands as one of the premier industry events where VITRONIC will exhibit in Hall 1, Booth 108.

  • Efficient intersection enforcement
  • Detection of mobile phone distraction
  • Intelligent traffic management in cities

Efficient Red-Light Enforcement with AI-based Technology

Intersections and junctions are responsible for almost half of all road users injured or killed in urban areas. With traffic coming from different directions, they represent particularly complex traffic situations that need to be monitored.

At Intertraffic Amsterdam, VITRONIC will introduce a cutting-edge video-based measurement system leveraging artificial intelligence, particularly a neural network (CNN). This system is designed to enhance safety at traffic light intersections by distinguishing between pedestrians, cyclists, and motorized road users automatically. Beyond red-light enforcement, this technology offers versatile applications in traffic management.

Combatting Distraction Offenses with AI

AI-driven technology enables automated monitoring of offenses that were previously reliant on manual inspection. One such innovation to be showcased by VITRONIC is the automated detection of illegal mobile phone usage while driving. Thanks to AI algorithms, the system autonomously evaluates image data, effectively identifying these violations.

For sustainable mobility in cities

Implementing and enforcing access regulations, such as low emission zones, emerge as viable strategies for urban sustainability. VITRONIC will present solutions at the trade fair aimed at enforcing these regulations, thereby promoting compliance and contributing to sustainable urban mobility.

About VITRONIC

VITRONIC is the world's leading innovation driver for machine vision, enabling its customers to master the challenges of tomorrow.

The global group of companies develops forward-looking solutions in the form of specialized products and software for image-based quality inspection, identification and process optimization, which find application in the growth sectors of automation and traffic engineering.

VITRONIC solutions make an important contribution to helping shape a safe and sustainable world. The existing limits of what is economically feasible are constantly being questioned in order to achieve the highest quality and productivity, for example in the production of automotive and pharmaceutical companies. Worldwide, Auto-ID solutions in logistics centers and at cargo airports, take over the reliable and efficient recording of shipments and thus ensure a transparent flow of goods.

In the transport sector, VITRONIC offers leading technology for increased safety on the roads, for optimizing traffic flow and for recording road usage.

Open and honest dealings with our customers form the foundation for jointly exploiting technological and process potential to the full. Joint success forms the basis of long-term cooperation with companies such as B. Braun, BMW, Daimler, DHL, UPS, Fresenius and Sanofi as well as with public clients.
