The strong earthquakes in Turkey and Syria have left entire cities in ruins: Destroyed houses, countless injured and homeless. The death toll is rising daily. Millions of people are affected by the consequences and need support. That’s why VITRONIC is providing immediate help and donates EUR 10.000 to the Arbeiter-Samariter Bund Deutschland e.V. (ASB), a nationwide non-profit, party-politically and denominationally independent aid and welfare organization, supported by over 1.4 million members. The donation will be used to purchase four mobile drinking water treatment plants which provide clean water for around 1,500 people per day - a resource that is essential for survival. After the devastating earthquake in Turkey, ASB sends active members to Turkey to plan and organize the deployment of FAST (First Assistance Samaritan Teams).

Matthias Pörner, CFO, and Ludwig Frölich, 1. State Chairman of ASB, at the handover of the donation.

We help here and now. This is the motto of the ASB with which we can directly identify as a company. We are deeply affected by the devastating effects of the earthquakes. That we support is a matter of course for us.

The management of VITRONIC was inspired to donate to ASB Deutschland e.V. by an employee, Dr. Christian Düsing, Project Manager BU Automation. He has been a member of ASB for several years and is currently on an emergency medical aid mission in Turkey. Mr. Düsing has been to disaster areas in the past to help people on the ground. VITRONIC is inspired by this commitment. Truly making a difference is also the company's mission.

The people in Turkey and Syria still need help, if you also want to support ASB Deutschland e.V. - check out the following page: https://www.asb.de/
