From May 31st to June 2nd, 2023, the inaugural GITEX Africa took place in Marrakech and attracted stakeholders from all over the continent. GITEX Africa is related to GITEX, which takes place annually in Dubai, and is a trade show of global relevance in the field of tech and start-ups. With a strong focus on technology and innovation, GITEX Africa is a hub for experts from all continents however, with a special focus on Africa.
VITRONIC Middle East was honored to be part of the first edition of GITEX Africa and participated with a 30sqm, 3 sides open stand in the digital cities area of the exhibition. Over the course of three days, a big number of professionals and current and prospective customers visited the stand to learn more about safer roads in Africa and smart city networks.
VITRONIC was proud to present solutions with a strong focus on the African markets and unique environments, which are reducing the number of road accidents by running independent from time, persons, and weather conditions.
In addition, POLISCAN measuring systems play a crucial role in enhancing road safety by capturing a significantly higher traffic violations. These advanced systems have the ability to monitor multiple lanes and two directions of travel simultaneously, ensuring comprehensive coverage. They are capable of detecting both approaching and receding traffic, further enhancing their effectiveness. Furthermore, the presented system offers different housings tailored to specific accident-prone areas.
However, the benefits of these systems extend beyond road safety alone. VITRONIC, recognizing their potential, has demonstrated the current advancements in Smart City Applications. The existing enforcement systems not only document violations but also collect valuable data that can be utilized in various ways. Leveraging the existing infrastructure, VITRONIC showcased how this data can be transformed into actionable insights. This knowledge-driven approach holds the potential to improve traffic flow, reduce air pollution, and enhance overall satisfaction among city residents.
