In the future, one of Chinas largest providers of express logistics and its integrators will speed up their logistic processes by applying 600 special camera systems by VITRONIC. The line-scan cameras with autofocus will identify and sort parcels of any kind and size in several facilities in China. They are also able to detect the volume of the shipments and will provide valuable data.

“Our camera systems will also generate additional data that will allow them to expand their services further”, he adds.

The provided data will enable the logistics provider to offer services in front-end processes such as warehousing management, big data analysis, and settlement management.

High Speed, High Efficiency, High Read Rate

The new camera systems operate at high speed of up to 2.7 m/s, require limited space for installations and provide a high read rate. In tests, VITRONIC’s camera systems clearly outperformed local systems based on matrix cameras.

Together with the local partner Huayan, VITRONIC will deploy the camera systems in 2021. With this new large-scale project, VITRONIC is expanding its business in China – and its position as a leading provider of line-scan camera solutions for the CEP sector.
