Red Light Enforcement without Loops or Sensors

Red light enforcement is particularly effective in mitigating accident hotspots at intersections. VITRONIC's laser-based red light enforcement system offers significant benefits compared to conventional red light cameras. POLISCAN REDLIGHT does not require loops or additional piezo sensors near stop lines. This means no more costly, repeated road work near intersections that interrupts traffic flow.

Reliable Detection of Red Light Violations

LIDAR measuring technology continuously locates all approaching vehicles on multiple lanes simultaneously and tracks their travel paths up to the stop line and beyond. This allows the system to capture red light violations exactly at the time the stop line is crossed, and a second time in the intersection's danger zone. Inaccurate and contestable back-calculation to the stop line – typical with road-embedded sensors – becomes obsolete.

Multiple Driving Directions at Once

VITRONIC's red light enforcement system is embedded in its innovative City Design Housing. The sleek pillar is both stylish and functional: Based on rotatable individual segments, it allows monitoring of two travel directions from a single location. The pillar segments can move freely toward each other. As a result, even intersections with acute or obtuse angles can be monitored.

Additional Documentation

As an optional expansion, VITRONIC offers remote cameras for additional documentation of every violation. This enables the recording of individual images or video sequences at a defined length around the point of crossing the stop line. The rear-facing views provide for complete case documentation, even if the front vehicle plate is missing or damaged. In addition, remote cameras let you capture the traffic light setting at the time of the violation together with the vehicle as photographic evidence.

Red Light Enforcement and Speed Enforcement in a Single System

People often run yellow lights at dangerously high speeds. To mitigate this potentially hazardous situation, VITRONIC red light enforcement systems can be combined with speed enforcement systems. POLISCAN RED+SPEED detects speeding and red light violations in a single unit.
