VITRONIC supports Hermes UK’s Charity Project

The machine vision people and the parcel people team up to support disadvantaged young people

Wiesbaden, 10th October 2018 - VITRONIC is glad to announce that we support our long-term customer Hermes UK with its charity project assisting young people finding their way into a settled working life. Hermes is currently involved in a project for The Prince’s Trust as part of a corporate fundraising scheme called Million Makers. The Prince’s Trust helps 11 to 30 year-olds to develop the confidence and skills they need to realize their ambitions.

The programmes offered by the charity give young people the practical and financial support needed to stabilize their lives, helping develop self-esteem and skills for work. The Prince of Wales’s charity has helped over 900,000 young people since 1976 and supports over 100 more each day.

Similar to Hermes, VITRONIC is also involved in many projects supporting young people. From sponsoring technical categories of local school competitions through offering traineeships within co-operations with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce to supporting high-vis vests for year one pupils, we are happy to guide and encourage teenagers. Therefore, we didn’t hesitate when we were asked to participate as this project fits perfectly into our philosophy.

VITRONIC has committed to donate £7,500 through sponsorship of a fleet of Hermes HGV trailers which feature our branding on the rear and can be seen across the UK throughout Christmas. Take a picture – of course only if it’s safe to do so, tag us on our social media channels using the #SpotTheLorry.
